Don Daiquiry, a former Cavallis sales horse is a serious
contender for a spot on the Canadian team for the Pan Am Games, held in Guadalajara October 2011.

Eurodressage.com reports, "Karen Pavicic of Richmond, BC, has been named the Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month for February following excellent results at the CDI Burbank Mid Winter Dressage aboard Don Daiquiri, the nine-year-old Oldenburg gelding sired by Don Cardinale. “I am delighted to be named as the Dressage Canada Red Scarf Equestrian Athlete of the Month for February,” said Pavicic. “I am really excited about the future with both Don Daiquiri and London Z. I am very proud of how well they performed overall at the competition.”

CONGRATULATIONS, Karen!!!  We are so proud of you two and that DonD continues kicking butt.

We guess Siggi was right when she called him the Horse of a Lifetime.
The Silvermans found this very special horse in Germany, Siggi trained him to 3rd level and found his Perfect Match in Spring 2008.
DonD is currently competing with Karen at PSG & I-1.  Fingers crossed, we will see him at the Pan Am Games 2011 and maybe
even at the Olympics, either London 2012 or Rio 2016. The future is bright for this Perfect Match :)

Going down memory lane, the picture shows DonD & Siggi at the 2007 championships.

David Blake Clinic at Traumhof

Alex's lease horse Wieneke was not quite fit for the clinic due to a minor lay up
but Cindy rescued the day by letting Alex take her horse Claudius.

The two of them had way too much fun playing with some upper level movements. Well done...

Yippee, Olympos has arrived at Julie's River Run Ranch. Added bonus -  Alina, Olympos previous owner came for a one week visit to personally show Julie all the buttons of her new GP pony. Now, that's what we call customer service :)

Congratulations Julie!!

Alfredo Hernandez clinic

Frenchi has now a new and improved understanding of collection. Thank you, Alfredo!!

Siggi absolutely loves her lessons with Alfredo.  He gets the job done! Frenchi really respects him on the ground. He also has great excercises to help the pair with their goals of more bend in the lateral work, quicker collectability and developing more shoulder freedom... and passaging even a baby-passage is way too much fun!!

January 23, 2011

We have the great pleasure to announce the newest perfect match,
Sarah Lane & Dan O' Brien.  Cavallis found Danno in Germany for Paige Romney back in 2006.  Paige has won everything from 1st level through I-1 on this amazing pony and sadly outgrew him. Sarah has now been matched with this incredible schoolmaster and we are very excited to be part of their exciting future. Paige and her mom Cindy delivered the pony to his new home, Shelburne Farm, and there were lots of tears - tears of joy only of course...

Alfredo Hernandez clinic at Cedar Meadows

Alfredo trained in Jerez, Spain where he trained horses not only for dressage but also for bull fighting. In the USA he specializes in the piaffe and passage and is to GO TO guy for many Olympic and Grand Prix riders. He has exceptional understanding of many different types of horses and their ability to learn. He commands vast toolbox and customizes his approach to each horse as an individual. He is also a VERY funny guy :)

click on picture for a short video of Frenchi's first attempt at passage - too cute but then I'm biased ;)

November 13 & 14, 2010

Shannon Peters clinic at Traumhof

Absolutely loved Shannon Peters clinic. Siggi & Frenchi learned a ton. Shannon is a world-class clinician. She is demanding but very positive, logical and concise in her coaching. Riding under her watchful eye was challenging, educational and very rewarding. Thank you Jessica & Traumhof for putting on another amazing clinic. Please keep them coming!! :)

www.eurodressage.com reports the following

Europe’s leading horse-breeder and -trader Paul Schockemöhle has bought Totilas, the most successful dressage horse in the world, and brought him to Germany. For quite a while there have been a lot of rumours, among insiders about the stallion being up for sale and that the couple Totilas and Edward Gal would almost certainly be separated.

October 19 & 20, 2010

Morten Thomsen clinic at Cedar Meadows Farm (Snohomish, WA)

Frenchi only had one day between clinics and is now learning from the new US Team Coach.

Mr. Thomsen is from Denmark and very European in his approach - it's ALWAYS the riders fault, always.  Frenchi is LOVING it ;)

His M.O. - make your aids very quick & light and your demands very simple, so that the horse can understand and learn.  Focus on ridebility and basics. We worked on a million and one walk-canter-walk transitions on straight lines away from the track and then worked on the flying changes. We are looking forward to another productive session tomorrow.

It was quite foggy the second day but Morten's

Alyssa worked hard with her mare Jill Sander but was still smiling at the end :)

October 16 & 17, 2010

David Blake clinic at Traumhof (Carnation, WA)

Siggi rode Pat's new horse Leo as well as her own French Kiss.  Both horses were super, trailering in and going straight to work.  David is a very effective & positive clinician, trainer and rider.

Leo felt incredible and is just so much fun to work with and get to know better.  David confirmed that he is quite the find and we are very excited for the future :)

Frenchi wore is big boy bridle and worked on his 3rd/4th level requirements for next season. We even got to play with some passage and he really seems to have a knack for it.

We are looking forward to the upcoming clinic season - check out EVENTS.

Elissa'a perfect match, 6 year old Bavarian Warmblood gelding Campari Cool.

September 23, 2010

Pat's perfect match, 12 year old German Warmblood gelding Leopold had his vet check and various other tests, like riding at the very busy KGF Equestrian Center and venturing out on the trails all by his lonesome self. He passed it all with flying colors and is now officially Pat's schoolmaster, helping her learn the art of dressage under our watchful eyes at Cavallis.

September 15-19, 2010

Unfortunately, Devi injured himself shortly before the championships. It's nothing serious but we did not want to take any chances. We know the two of them would have kicked some serious butt...We wish Devi a speedy recovery!!

Dressage at DevonWood

Alex & Deviere

Cleaned up at Training, First Level & Equitation with scores up to 76%. Also received the Jr. High Point of the show and well as the Devonwood Sportmanship award for his achievements in addition to volunteering many hours during the competition.  Congratulations to a job well done!!

Kristin T. & Mio

Showed at Training & First Level with scores up to mid-60s, earning them a 3rd & 4th place.
Jama's little stallion behaved himself
and turned heads with his gorgeous bridle wherever he went.  Kristin did a fabulous job with him.

Kristin O. & Lars

showed very solid at PSG, winning the AA division twice with scores in the 60s.

Siggi & French Kiss

Frenchi had two weeks off prior to this show because his rider was sick at home but I guess the trail rides inspired him. A couple of small bobbles placed them 3rd, 4th & 5th with scores in the mid 60s at 2-4.  He was always within 2% of the winning ride - we have our work cut out for championships ;).

Whidbey Island Spring Show

Kecia & Laudi

vini, vidi, vici (they came, saw & conquered) .

They rode 3 times and won 3 times with qualifying scores in the high 60/70s at 1-4 & 2-4.

Alex & Deviere

This pair kicked butt. Five entries at T-4 & 1-4 resulted in three 1st places, one 2nd and one 3rd with scores in the high 60s and even one over 70%.

Peter & Enigma

It was their first outing at 2nd level. Iggy has much improved over the winter and they are very close to qualifying scores.

Siggi & Amaroux

Amaroux's first rated show ever resulted in a 1st, 3rd & 4th place at 3-3 with scores in the mid-60s and lot's of room for improvement.

Siggi & French Kiss

He felt the best he ever felt 85% through the 2-4 test but had two big blow ups in the canter tour, which resulted in an error and major submission penalties. The judge placed him nevertheless 2nd right behind Kecia & Laudi.
